What to expect
A consultation about your goals, skin and health history.
Your shape is drawn on, with pigment matched to your skin and hair.
Nothing is tattooed until you approve it in the mirror.
Jodi works gently and checks in with you throughout.
Healing & aftercare
First one or two weeks
Color will appear deeper than the final result.
4 to 6 weeks
Color will become softer and more natural as your skin heals.
Once healed (after 8 weeks)
Jodi includes a follow up session to refine the results.
Aftercare
- You go home with written aftercare instructions.
- Keep the area clean and don't pick at it.
- Avoid heavy sweating, swimming and direct sun while it heals.
How long it lasts
- Typically 1 to 3 years, depending on skin type, sun exposure and skincare.
- A color boost, typically every 1 to 2 years, keeps your color at its best.

Brow questions
Can you fix or refresh an older brow tattoo?
It depends on the color of the old pigment and how much of it remains, so Jodi will assess it in person first.
Is there anyone who shouldn't have permanent makeup?
Pregnancy or nursing, certain medications, active skin conditions in the area and a history of keloid scarring can affect whether, or when, it's right for you. Jodi reviews your health history and may ask you to check with your physician first.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe mild discomfort rather than pain. Jodi will talk through comfort options at your consultation.
How should I prepare?
You'll get preparation guidelines when you book. Never stop a prescribed medication without talking to your doctor.
